Cozumel Cruise Port – 9 All Inclusive Day Pass Options (with Reviews)

While exploring your Cozumel excursion options, you’ll want to consider an All Inclusive Resort Day Pass. It’s the most convenient way to eat, drink (woo hoo), play and relax in the short amount of time you’re at port. It’s also popular with those looking to maximize their hard-earned dollars. The one-time cost of a Day Pass will get you access to beaches, chairs, umbrellas, drinks (including booze), food, snorkeling, kayaks, and much more.

To give you an idea where each resort is located, you’ll find those mapped below. Click on each to see the resort and price per day pass.

If you’re not yet sold on the All-Inclusive option, here are our top reasons for choosing this type of shore excursion.

Convenience

You don’t want to spend your day doing errands. We’ve been there. It’s a pain to chase down vendors for food, drinks, chairs, toys, etc.  With a resort day pass, all of these things are at your fingertips. You’ll likely have more amenities than you have time to enjoy them.

Haggle Free

Other than Uncle Skip, not many people enjoy haggling over price. The back-and-forth can get pretty aggressive and we can’t be bothered with all of that. Your resort day pass is your “golden ticket” to all the property has to offer. You won’t have to haggle over the price of snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, and all that other stuff.

Quality

The resorts listed below will offer cleaner beaches and less tetanus-y chairs when compared to public areas. You’ll get towels that smell like coconuts rather than the last cruiser that dried off. Staff will be friendlier and birds will chirp louder (not guaranteed). These private resorts have high standards to achieve and you get to swoop in for the day and take advantage.

Cost Savings

We love a good deal. With these all inclusive options, we feel like we’re making money with each additional beer ordered. The average day pass costs just over $60. That gets you access to everything you’ll need. The costs can easily add up if buying “a la carte.” Beach access ($5), chair & umbrella ($20), lunch ($15), a few drinks ($40), kayak rental ($40). You’ll pay 2x the cost not going all inclusive.

If you’re now sold on a Resort Day Pass in Cozumel, you’ll need to know your options. Most cruisers have heard of Mr. Sanchos, but there are a bunch of other options to choose from. Your perfect all inclusive option will depend on priorities. Are you cost conscious? Would you prefer to stay closer to the cruise port? Are you hoping to snorkel? These are some of the many questions you’ll want to ask yourself.

Playa Mia Cozumel Reviews

Many resorts limit the day passes they sell. On busier days (typically weekends) when multiple ships are in port, it’s not uncommon for these all inclusive passes to sell out. If you’re planning to take advantage of this excursion option, we recommend locking it in as soon as possible. Click below to check for availability for the Playa Mia.

#1 – Mr. Sanchos

Mr. Sanchos Location

Mr Sanchos All Inclusive Distance from Port

The Mr. Sanchos ranks #1 on our “best day passes” list. Your All Inclusive package costs $49.94 for adults.  Unlike most others on this list, Mr. Sanchos does not take a deposit to secure your spot. You’ll be required to pay in full. The child price is not much less at $35 and includes little ones between the ages of 4-11.

IMPORTANT:  Mr. Sanchos only sells 450 all inclusive passes per day. If you’re hoping to go here, we recommend booking asap. This is the most popular resort on the island and often sells out.

The resort is located south of your cruise ship terminal. From Punta Langosta, it’ll take roughly 20 minutes by taxi and should cost $18 each way. From International Pier and Puerta Maya docks, your taxi ride will be about 15 minutes and your taxi fare will cost $17 (up to 4 adults).

Your resort day pass gives you access to the Mr. Sanchos from 9am to 5pm. Included, you’ll have access to a locker to drop your things and to kayaks available on the beach area. Unfortunately, your admission price does not give you access to the waterpark.

Mr. Sanchos charges an additional $12 for all-day admission to their waterpark.  Features included in this floating kid-paradise include floating toys, icebergs, Action Tower, trampolines, pyramid slider, water totters, moonwalk, bouncers, rock slider, stadium ball, and more.
