Description

Private Speed and Jeep Group Tour Departing from the pier your private group will board a powerboat, which will speed along the east coast of Malta, passing various sea-side towns and villages, including Sliema, Bugibba, and Mellieha. You will also pass by the famous St. Paul's Islands, where it is believed that the Biblical Saint Paul was shipwrecked during his voyage to Rome. Leaving Malta, you will cruise to the small island of Comino, where you will be able to view some of the caves, as well as the beautiful Blue Lagoon with its crystal clear waters. Although tiny and mostly deserted, this island has featured in international movies such as The Count of Monte Cristo, Troy, and Swept Away. From Comino, you will cross the channel towards the island of Gozo, where the drivers of the jeeps will welcome you. Once onboard the jeeps, you will explore some of the most beautiful sites in Gozo, including the fortified Cittadella which overlooks the capital city Victoria, the salt pans, the limestone quarries, Dwejra with its Fungus Rock and Inland Sea, some of the villages such as Xlendi and Marsalforn, and other picturesque sites. You will also visit the 'Fontana Cottage,' where you will be able to see the local artisans at work. In between visiting the fascinating sites, you will stop for a light picnic made up of local culinary items, including the traditional Ftira (a type of local bread) served with Gozo cheese or sardines. After this snack, you will have time to enjoy a dip in the Mediterranean Sea, if the weather permits. After an unforgettable tour of Gozo, you will re-board the powerboats to speed back to the cruise ship. Please Note: The order in which the sites are visited may change according to the logistical needs of the day.
