Your tour will start with the visit of the famous Karnak Temple – the largest place of worship that was ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means “the most sacred of places.” The temple, or, more correctly, the complex of temples, was built more than two thousand years ago by generation after generation of pharaohs. After lunch, we continue to the Colossi of Memnon, and admire the 2 massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Next, learn about Egypt’s female ruler at the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut beautiful murals on its inner walls and in the end discover a land of mystery, complexity, visit the famed Valley of the Kings. See the royal tombs, decorated with scenes from Egyptian mythology that give clues to the beliefs and funerary rituals of the period.
