Scenic tour to Steinsfjellet, locals at Kringsjå & Rising Tide

Experience Nordic nature and culture. Join us on a hike to the small farm Kringsjå, with spectacular panoramic views of Haugesund and the surrounding mountains. Kringsjå literally means "see all around". A bus will drive you (20 min) to Steinsfjellet - a popular lookout point over Haugesund. From there it is a 15 to 20 minute hike to a traditional Norwegian cabin. Here a local will tell the history and development of this cultural site which include stories of occupation during the Second World War. Watch the farmer call to the wild sheep that roam this area - fun for both young and old to see them gather, hoping for a nibble to eat. You're bound to work up a bit of an appetite with all the fresh air. Enjoy a cup of coffee/tea/water and apple cake, before heading back to the bus. On your return trip, the bus will drop by The "Harald Hårfarge" monument and "The Rising Tide" horse sculptures. Warm layered clothing, sun protection and comfortable walking shoes are recommended...
