However, the reconstruction in 20th century allows us to see now how it looked in its best days. Knossos palace is located quite close to Heraklion, so we can’t miss the opportunity to visit it! You’ll see the “lion square” - the main square of the city with the famous Morosini fountain. We’ll visit the museum of Nikos Kazantzakis - one of the greatest authors of Greece. See Venetian fortress, Nowadays, only walls remain there, however, behind those wall is hidden one of the main sights and the most famous point of the city - Heraklion lighthouse.
