Private Group Gourmet and GastronomyAfter tendering from your ship to the pier in Fira, you will meet your guide on the pier and board your private boat. You will sail along the edge of the caldera while your guide tells you about the many layers of Santorini and its history. Arriving at the pier in Athinios, you will transfer to your transportation for the breath-taking drive out of the caldera. Reaching the top of the caldera, you will drive through the terraced planes of Santorini where your guide will tell you more about the island, its people and its unique wine making. Upon arrival in Fira Town, your guide will walk with you to one of the most famous restaurants on Santorini. The owner, one of the most renowned culinary masters in Greece, is waiting to cook, mix and mingle with you during your short stay on Santorini.Experience his distinctive and flavorful flair influenced by Greek and other Mediterranean cuisine typical of Santorini. The chef will demonstrate cooking techniques, utilizing the area's freshest ingredients, share recipes and participate in a question and answer session.Then, to the sounds of classical music, enjoy a three-course lunch prepared by the chef featuring his signature dishes and matched with pairings of Santorini's world-famous wine. The menu will be based on what the chef can get fresh that day.After lunch, wander the scenic pedestrian streets of Fira lined with their art galleries and jewelry shops. When you are ready to return to your ship, use your included cable car ticket to return to the tender pier in Fira.Please Note: The tour duration does not include the time required to tender ashore from your ship or to ascend from the tender pier to Fira Town by included cable car ride. Please be aware that waiting time for the cable car can be extensive when there are several ships in the port. Groups of ten or more guests will be tendered from the pier at Fira to the pier at Athinios and begin their tour from there. All tours end in Fira and include a return cable car ticket to the tender pier in Fira to be used at your convenience. This tour offers customized departure times between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM.
