After driving through the village of Dublanc you will then enjoy a 2.5-mile drive into the rainforest while stopping at various viewing areas to catch a glimpse of birding activity.Make your way to the Syndicate Visitors Centre where you will start the Syndicate Trail with the hopes of spotting the Sisserou and Jaco Parrots, both endemic to the island. The number of known bird species to be seen in Dominica during the various seasons of the year totals 167, including 4 types of native hummingbirds. The parrots (unique to Dominica) are most commonly sighted in the Syndicate Forest area on the western slopes of the Morne Diablotin National Park.Your hike will take you on dirt trails through the lush forest with your guide stopping whenever there is a bird sighting opportunity. Along the trail the guide will try and identify as many birds as possible before arriving at the viewpoint where you can stand or sit to enjoy the view while looking out for the famed Sisserou Parrots.
