Your local and knowledgeable guide will point out many different sights of the region including mango, coffee, sugar and citrus plantations that provide diverse fruit stands and support these rural farming communities.You will begin making your way to the Central Pacific Coast and the Tarcoles River and Carara Adventure Park, approximately one-hour drive from Puntarenas and the pier. Upon arrival to the beautiful property, you will have some free time for a restroom break and to explore the surroundings before the adventure begins.Carara Adventure Park is a privately-owned reserve with 80 acres of rainforest and stunning views of the Pacific Coast Puntarenas City. Your zipline tour is certified with the highest technology equipment PETZL. The French company Petzl makes equipment for vertical use and there is probably no mountaineer who does not have at least one piece of equipment made by this traditional manufacturer in their backpack. Petzl ziplines sets offer plenty of comfort in matters of control and safety. The Zip line thrill begins after an orientation where the rules and regulations for safety and security are explained thoroughly.After instructions, the groups will be transferred to the top of the mountain by a modified open truck where the zip line begins. This zip line includes 12 cables, 15 platforms and 3 hanging bridges. The longest cable is 1,200 feet long and the highest point approximately 100 feet off the ground.After this great adventure of flying through the tree tops, your tour will continue with a short drive to the Tarcoles River, where an hour-long eco boat tour allows you to enjoy the abundant wildlife of the area. You will have the opportunity to see the huge crocodiles, multiple aquatic birds, scarlet macaws, howler monkeys and other amazing tropical species that call this home.After these two great adventures it's a comfortable return to the pier area and your ship. Upon arrival you can decide to stay in the city or make your way back directly to your ship.
