Jungle Buggy and Crocodile SafariYour adventure begins with a pickup from the pier and a comfortable, relaxing 60-minute drive through the spectacular Costa Rican countryside in air-conditioned comfort. Your local, expert guide will point out many sights of interest along the journey including mango, coffee, sugar, and citrus plantations, diverse fruit stands, and rural farming communities.You will make your way to the Central Pacific Coast, Tarcoles River and Carara Adventure Park where upon arrival to the private property you will have some free time to explore the beautiful surroundings before the real excitement begins.At the adventure center, before you begin your thrilling ride, you will receive instructions and then take a test run on our specially designed private track. After everyone has been assigned a buggy, your guide will then lead you along the jungle trails, teak plantations, and crossing rivers up to 14 times. You will traverse over sometimes bumpy, dirt paths and through a real rainforest with viewpoints and two different beaches. If weather allowing, you can take a quick swim at Bochinche Beach, a pristine and almost private beach where you will have a break.During the tour your guide will provide bottled water for refreshment and at the end of the adventure you will be greeted with fresh tropical fruits. The driving time and buggy adventure will last approximately 2 hours.Upon completion of your buggy adventure your tour will continue with a short drive to the Tarcoles River, where you will have a 60-minute eco boat tour that will allow you to enjoy the abundant wildlife of the area. This includes the famous and huge crocodiles, multiple aquatic birds, scarlet macaws, howler monkeys and other amazing tropical species.After this exciting and amazing day of adventure, return to the pier area where you can decide to stay in the city or make your way back directly to your ship. For all those interested in walking along the boulevards, the pier is located next to the city at a very short distance from your ship making for an easy return.Please Note: The buggies will accommodate a maximum of 4 persons (Driver plus up to 3 riders) and it is mandatory to have a valid driving license (driver) and present a valid credit card as a guarantee for the good use of the equipment. Maximum weight for riders is 180 lbs.
