Scuba Diving - Beginner's Class ExcursionNever been scuba diving? Now's a perfect time and this St. Maarten excursion is the perfect chance to fix that oversight.Once you arrive at the resort and check-in with the staff on the beach, you will have a short beginner scuba "classroom" session, where your certified divemaster will cover the basics of diving, gear and what to expect on this St. Maarten tour.Once everyone is feeling clear about the basics, your divemaster will lead you to the water's edge where you will get used to wearing your gear and breathing. From here, your divemaster will lead you on a one-tank scuba dive right off the beach. You will have a great introduction to the marine and reef life under the sea. Depending on group size and comfort level, the dive will go down to approximately 25-30 feet.After the dive, you are welcome to use the beach area for swimming. Chairs are available for rent, and food and beverages are for sale.Please Note: This is an introduction to scuba. You will not be certified after this course.
