Fishing around the Bay of Panama and the island of Taboga, the species that can be captured are Dorado (Mahi Mahi), Yellowtail Tuna, Spanish mackerel, Tuna Bonito, and Jack Crevalle, among others, as well as bottom species such as snapper, Pargo, Grouper, and Amberjack. You can also visit one of the best fishing spots in Panamanian waters: Twenty Fathom, about five nautical miles south of the island.
