In the Valley of the Temples there are 12 temples in the Doric order, 3 sanctuaries, a large concentration of necropolises, the garden of Kolymbetra and the hypogea, the lower and upper Agora. There is also a Roman-era Olympeion and Bouleuterion (council chamber) on a Greek plan.
