Halfway between the current Palermo and Trapani stands one of the oldest cities you can visit in Sicily. The first monument to visit is the Doric temple, one of the best preserved Greek temples in the western world. The Doric temple of Segesta stands outside the city walls, on a hill west of the city. -  The ancient theater of Segesta, built on the north side of the acropolis, stands on the highest peak of Monte Barbaro, close to the gulf of Castellammare. - The theater has a very wide panoramic view that transforms into a spectacular scenography if necessary. It is one of the most successful examples of theatrical architecture that can be placed in the passage and is still used, during the summer, for performances and concerts. -  The theater can be reached by climbing the Mount on foot or by bus (consider taking the shuttle bus if it's a hot summer day and/or if you're not used to hiking). -  Perched on the top of a mountain and overlooking the Gulf of Trapani, Erice is a small and characteristic medieval village, with narrow paved streets, courtyards, churches and lots of clean and fresh air, even in the height of summer. Thanks to its altitude you can enjoy a splendid 360° panoramic view. - Immediately after the main arch, at the entrance to the town, is the cathedral with its tall bell tower. - Starting right from the narrow streets behind the cathedral, you can start the tour in the center of the town, among suggestive corners, souvenir shops and historic pastry shops. The symbol of the town is obviously the Castello di Venere, from the Norman era, which stands right on the overhanging rock and which offers a spectacular view. - Next to the castle you can admire the Pepoli Towers and the beautiful Balio municipal villa. - During the summer, the cable car that connects Trapani to the top of Erice is in operation! - The salt pans of Trapani are a fundamental stop in the city. In fact, it was precisely the salt trade that made this city flourish over the centuries, making it a real commercial power throughout Europe. Visiting this place you will be able to see how salt was obtained (and is still obtained today) from sea water. The museum of the salt pans of Trapani includes, in addition to the famous tanks in which salt was extracted, but also mills and period equipment that were used to complete the process for obtaining salt. -  Dattilo is one of the towns of Sicilian cannoli par excellence. -  Eurobar has been famous for years for the Sicilian cannolo. People come here exclusively for the most famous Sicilian dessert in the world: the cannoli. - The raw material of the Sicilian cannoli, obtained from sheep's milk, in this village is processed in a coarser way, more artisanal than usual. - Cannoli tasting included in the cost of the tour. - THE BAR IS NOT OPEN ON TUESDAY!!
