Description

Aruba Kayak Adventure Our Mangel Halto Barrier Reef Kayak Tour takes you kayaking through the beautiful Spanish Lagoon on our southern coast. Please note, this is not an open ocean kayak adventure; instead, you will be kayaking in the lagoon near the shoreline with the guides kayaking alongside you at all times. After beaching the kayaks at the far end of the lagoon, the guides will take you snorkeling out on the barrier reef at Mangel Halto; the best natural reef area for snorkeling in Aruba. This reef is part of a long barrier reef with barrier islands stretching the entire southern coast of Aruba. Most of this reef is very deep and very steep; great for divers. However, there are a couple of spots, and this is one of them where the reef comes up into shallow water. This section of the reef gets exposed to all those deep-water nutrients and the marine life that follow it. The variety of marine life and coral is incredible, and the knowledge of the guides will assure that you see the very best that this astonishing ecosystem has to offer. Should anyone choose not to snorkel, the beach at Mangel Halto is a great place to relax and take a refreshing swim in the waters of the beautiful lagoon. There is restroom availability next to the beach, and one of our staff members will always stay back to guide and keep the company of the non-snorkelers. After kayaking back to our kayak center, you will enjoy lunch at Balashi Biergarten, a pleasant garden restaurant located at our national brewery. Our kayak center has a freshwater shower in the event you'd like to rinse off the salt and sand before lunch. For lunch, there are a few choices: burgers, wraps, salads, gluten-free, and vegetarian choices. Non-alcoholic beverages are also included; however, alcoholic beverages are not. You can purchase alcohol at your expense. After this fun-packed, and filling excursion, you will be transported back to your respective hotel/ship/villa.
