Description
Deco Napier Town and Country Tour This 3-hour tour takes you along Marine Parade - and then past orchards and vineyards before stopping at Te Mata Peak. The views across the Heretaunga Plains and back to Napier are spectacular. The air is fresh and the bird song can be enchanting. We'll then stop at the friendly and family-owned and operated Askerne Estate. A comprehensive wine tasting is conducted with insights into the many red and white wines served --- all Estate grown and produced. Your guide will provide a selection of local cheese and crackers to enhance the tasting experience. The tour then travels back to Napier via the Art Deco residential area of Sander Avenue. Most of the houses on the Ave are unchanged from when they were built during the Roaring Thirties. The next stop will be at your guide's colorful garden that enables great views over the Bay and the 14 square kilometers of land reclaimed after the 1931 earthquake. Bluff Hill Lookout is just up the road and this stop provides great views of your Cruise Ship birthed directly below. Finally, the tour travels through the historic Art Deco center of Napier and drops you back at the i-SITE with plenty of time to catch the free shuttle back to your ship. This exploration in and out of Napier will surely create lasting memories as you share your incredible pictures with family and friends for years to come, book today as space is very limited.
