Description

Starting in the morning at 8 o’clock, the guide will pick you up from the residence and take you to Wadi Bani Kharus to visit Rayda hard ground outcrop and the Classic Angular Unconformity. The first stop is to examine Rayda Formation hard ground and its fossils. You will stay at this stop for 45 minutes. After that, the guide will take you to the second stop to see the Classic Angular Nonconformity, which has gap time of 300 million years for 20 minutes. After that, we will go to Wadi Halsan to see the evidence of Precambrian glaciations deposits in the Hadash carbonate cap-rock. You will stay in this stop for 20 minutes. After that, you will go to another canyon that is characterized by dark rocks and rotten egg smell. The guide will tell you about its relationship with the petroleum system of Neo Proterozoic oil. After all these geological sites, you will have a cultural journey through Alya Village and the remnant of old houses and farms.
