Description
Private Pisa and Beach The private driver will meet you at Livorno Port and sitting in a comfortable vehicle you will reach Pisa in 45 minutes. Pisa is famous for its architectural beauty. The origin of Pisa is a mystery: probably an Etruscan settlement, it was a Roman colony and thanks to its port and the trade development, soon it expanded, becoming one of the most important ancient Italian towns. Upon your arrival in Pisa, you will be dazzled by this marvelous square which is dominated by the Cathedral, a model of the distinctive Pisan Romanesque architecture, the round-shaped Baptistery surrounded by its suggestive columned arcades, the celebrated Leaning Tower one of the wonders of the world, which stirs the imagination of all visitors. After a short journey, we reach the splendid and flat Versilian coast, in the seaside town of Viareggio, famous for its beautiful beaches, the wonderful "Liberty" architecture that characterizes many of its buildings, and the long and exciting walk along "Viale del Mare" with cafes-chantant, restaurants, shops, and venues that are among the most elegant of the coast. Enjoy some free time to admire the architecture of the bathing establishments along the famous Viale Margherita, the chalet, and cafes, including the Gran Caffe Margherita, a Liberty style-building symbol of the city. You can taste the fragrant cuisine of Viareggio in one of the many restaurants on the seafront and, during the warmer seasons, take a dip into the warm Tyrrhenian Sea with the spectacular backdrop of the Apuan Alps white marble sparkling in the sun. Please Note: Pisa is a popular destination and crowds can be expected at all sites, especially during the high season. Ongoing restoration work is often carried out at various venues. Vehicles available for this tour accommodate groups of up to 7 guests. Groups with more than 7 guests will need to book multiple vehicles. Please take this information into consideration when booking. Please make sure to have Euros with you for entrance fees and meals.
