Fátima is the religious capital of Portugal and is the place where Our Lady appeared to the 3 children on the 13th. of May 1917, two of them, Francisco and Jacinta - beatified by John Paul II on May 13, 2002. Almost 6 Million people visit Fátima all year round. The new Basilica of the Holy Trinity is considered to be the 4th. biggest Catholic temple in the world with almost 9. 000 seats. The Church has been designed by Greek Orthodox architect.
