Set in peaceful Glen Falloch and standing at 30 ft high with the River Falloch passing through as it makes its way towards Loch Lomond at Ardlui. Your journey continues through the village of Crianlarich located on the West Highland Way, with Ben More over looking it. - The village of Crianlarich is located in Glen Strathfillan to the north of the Trossachs, some eight miles north of the head of Loch Lomond. This small historic village is an important staging post on various transport routes linking central and northwestern Scotland. The West Highland railway divides here with one branch heading due west towards Oban, the other continuing north over Rannoch Moor to Fort William. The West Highland Way long-distance footpath also passes through here. - The beautiful Falls of Dochart run through the small town of Killin, in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Stop for some photos of this beautiful Scottish Loch and take a walk along its banks, there is plenty of nature around you so make sure you bring your camera. - No visit to Scotland is complete without a stop and Photos with our famous “Highland Coos”. Located next to the Trossachs Woollen Mill you will have the opportunity to meet some coos and feed them, freshly made goodie bags are available in the store for purchase. A great stop for some photos with these incredible Scottish animals, a memory to remember for sure. - The Highland Town of Callander the eastern gateway to the highlands. Spend time walking around the town visiting the small shops and sampling local produce and pick up a souvenir for your trip, a good point of the tour to stop for some lunch too. If a light lunch then there are plenty of local Cafes and Pubs to stop in while having a walk. If looking for something a little more formal then we would recommend The Roman Camp Country House, reservations would be required we would be happy to reserve a table. - Deanston Distillery is on the banks of the River Teith and started life back in 1785 as a cotton mill until 1966 where it transformed into today’s distillery where it has been distilling whisky using traditional methods ever since. Experience the sights, smells and sounds of a true working distillery, you will be shown how they hand craft their great whisky which is sweet, fruity with a malty honeyed spiciness on the palate. Deanston is also the only distillery in Scotland to be self-sufficient in electricity with its power coming from the River Teith. If you would like to complete a distillery tour experience please ensure this is pre-booked prior to arrival. - Alternative to Distillery Stop - One of the finest Medieval Castle in Scotland Doune Castle was built around 1400 by Robert Stewart, 1st Duke of Albany, Earl of Menteith and Fife, a magnificent late 14th century courtyard castle Its most striking feature is the 100ft high gatehouse which includes the splendid Lord’s Hall with its musicians’ gallery, double fireplace and carved oak screen and you can hear the stories of the making of Monty Python and the Holy Grail which was also filmed at the castle. - As you travel back toward Edinburgh you will pass Stiling the “Gateway to the Scottish Highlands”. The mighty Stirling Castle sits proudly keeping watch over the city. The reason why so many battles took place around here was in order to hold the strategic importance of Stirling, which overlooked the lowest bridging point across the River Forth. Savour the imposing Wallace Monument as it stands out against the scenic Ochil Hills to the north of the City, with time for a Photo or two before returning to Edinburgh. - As you return to Edinburgh Pass The Kelpies, they are 30-metre-high horse-head sculptures depicting Kelpies (shape-shifting water spirits).
