Description
Mikumi is a beautiful national park which was established in 1964. It is accessible from the commercial capital Dar-es-salaam where international flight connections are abundant. Udzungwa national mountain park is an amazing experience. The habitats contained within the national park include tropical rainforest, mountain forest, miombo woodland, grassland and steppe. Here you can hike and also swim at the waterfalls. The drive from Mikumi to Udzungwa is undertaken inside the national parks, so travelers can enjoy seeing animals on the side of the road, especially Giraffes, Zebras, and Gazelles but also lions and herds of elephants and buffalos. This will make your drive out of Udzungwa and Mikumi a fantastic enroute game drive.
