Description
This tour will take visitors through a path on the edge of memory, along the front of one of the battles that decided the fate of the Second World War, the one fought between Syracuse and Catania, along the Simeto river line. A particularly suggestive moment of reflection will take place at the English and German war cemeteries, the burial place of many soldiers who lost their lives here. The day will end with a visit to the interesting museum dedicated to the Allied Landing in Sicily, where accurate reconstructions and a rich historical documentation, films and videos of the time tells the story of Operation Husky. The memory of the past becomes a moment of knowledge and education, to build a peaceful future.
