South Africa has been producing wine since 1659 with wine cuttings introduced to the Cape by the Dutch and French Huguenots. Many high profile to the like of Napoleon Bonaparte drunk the South African wine. Hence, this tour of the winelands is probably the second most popular tour in Cape Town after the Cape of Good Hope tour. The Cape Winelands are looked at as one of the most beautiful countryside in the world. With dramatic, expansive vistas of mountains, vineyards and ocean. The wineries are uniquely interesting and picturesque: with rich history, stunning Cape Dutch buildings accompanied by magnificent gardens.
