The Cape Peninsula is probably one of the world's most beautiful landscapes and has several Natural World Heritage Sites. With dramatic views of the mountains and the sea. This tour covers some of the most famous places on the peninsula. Your guide and host Jim guides history, culture, nature, and wine in English and Swedish. He is Cape Town born, knows all sorts of special places, and has many interesting stories to tell. We will hug the coastline following the coast road around the Cape Flats and as it winds past the lazy suburbs with quaint names like Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, St James until we enter the gates of the Cape of Good Hope. We will get close enough to penguins to observe and photograph these curious and entertaining birds. Jim will give you detailed information about the birds. His love for Africa motivated him to qualify as a tourist guide and today he is doing what he loves most, sharing his passion for his country and its people. You can ask him what you like.
One of the world's most scenic harbors, the "Mother City" has welcomed sailors since Portuguese navigators first rounded the Cape of Good Hope in the 15th century. Take a cable car ride to the summit of massive, flat-topped Table Mountain, the city's dominating landmark, for a panoramic view of the Cape from 3,300 feet. At nearby Stellenbosch, the university town famous for its Cape Dutch architecture, sip crisp local vintages at one of the well-known wine estates.
