Mariner of the Seas’ 2018 Royal Amplified refit (costing $120 million) was a transformative modernization that significantly expanded the ship’s onboard attractions and amenities. New signature attractions were introduced, including enhanced family-friendly activity spaces and modern entertainment features, repositioning the ship for contemporary cruising demand. Dining venues were refreshed with new concepts, updated décor, and improved layouts to support higher guest volumes. Staterooms received refreshed soft goods, updated furnishings, and improved lighting. Public spaces were reconfigured to improve flow and usability. Extensive technical upgrades were completed behind the scenes, including hotel systems, IT infrastructure, navigation equipment, and mechanical components, supporting long-term performance and reliability.
