Diamond Princess’s 2020 refurbishment combined a MedallionClass upgrade with an extensive technical refit following an extended layup period. Guest accommodations were refreshed with updated furnishings, new soft goods, improved lighting, and enhanced comfort features. Dining venues and public spaces received targeted updates to décor, seating, and finishes to restore and modernize key guest areas. The MedallionClass platform was installed shipwide, introducing advanced digital services, personalized guest interactions, and improved operational efficiency. Significant technical work was also completed, including upgrades to hotel systems, mechanical components, environmental systems, and onboard infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations following the ship’s return to service.
