The 2024 refurbishment of Norwegian Joy was a comprehensive U.S. market refit designed to reposition the ship following its transition from the Asian market to North American itineraries. Public spaces were redesigned to better align with U.S. guest preferences, including refreshed décor, updated furnishings, and reconfigured layouts in lounges and gathering areas. Dining venues were updated with refreshed interiors, revised concepts, and operational improvements to better support high-volume service. Staterooms received updated soft goods, improved lighting, and refreshed finishes to enhance comfort and visual appeal. The drydock also included extensive technical upgrades, addressing hotel systems, IT infrastructure, navigation equipment, and mechanical components, ensuring improved reliability, efficiency, and compliance with U.S. operational standards.
