Cruise Itinerary

The Nautica sails on September 11, 2025 for a 36 Night Edge Of The Ancient World (Athens To Lisbon). The ship will depart the port of Piraeus (Athens), Greece at 8:00 PM and will return to the port of Lisbon, Portugal on Oct 17th at 8:00 AM. During the 36-day journey, the Nautica will visit 31 additional ports and will spend 3 days at sea.

Day1
SEP 112025
Greece
D:8:00 PM

Piraeus is the seaport for Athens, the capital of western civilization, which boasts a fantastic mix of classical ruins and vivacious modern life. In a single day, you can climb the hill of the Acropolis to wonder at the Parthenon, join the lively Athenians in Constitution Square, and then find a welcoming taverna for some spirited bizouki music, plenty of ouzo to drink, and with luck, energetic Greek dancing.

Day2
SEP 122025
A:7:00 AMD:8:00 PM

The narrow passageways of Mykonos are a twisted maze of whitewashed houses, miniature churches, lazy windmills, and tiny cafes serving up Greek specialties. Sample the freshest squid or lobster just snatched from the blue Aegean Sea, or shop for typical flokati rugs.

Day3
SEP 132025
Greece
A:8:00 AMD:6:00 PM

The lush, green island of Lesvos (Lesbos) is like no other. It is the third largest in the Aegean Archipelago behind Crete and Evia. Virtually unaffected by the mass tourism that has turned other islands into amusement parks, Lesvos is the perfect place to visit for people who want to experience the real Greece. For the Greek Island traveler who is worried about not having enough to do, Lesvos is the perfect destination.

Day4
SEP 142025
Turkey
A:8:00 AMD:6:00 PM

Day5
SEP 152025
A:8:00 AM

Once called Constantinople, the former capital of the Byzantine Empire is the only city in the world to straddle two continents: Europe and Asia. This is the Golden Horn, the door between East and West, and your first vision of its domes and minarets is unforgetable. Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Sultan treasures in Topkapi Palace await - as does the Grand Bazaar, laden with carpets, beaten brass and spices from afar.

Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Sultan treasures in Topkapi Palace await - as does the Grand Bazaar, laden with carpets, beaten brass and spices from afar.

Day7
SEP 172025
Turkey
A:11:00 AMD:9:00 PM

This charming, picturesque resort where Antony and Cleopatra used to vacation is best known as the port for the ancients ruins of Ephesus - one of the world's most wondrous archaeological sites. Explorations should include such masterpieces as the Great Amphitheatre, where St. Paul addressed the Ephesians, the Library of Celsus, and the temples of Athena and Apollo - all connected by marble streets rutted by the wheels of countless chariots.

Day8
SEP 182025
A:9:00 AMD:7:00 PM

The once quaint fishing village of Marmaris has in recent years become a busy holiday resort. It is now the "in" place for Turkey's rich and famous, who are followed in their choice of holiday places by the hoi polloi. Why Turkey's movie stars and magnates choose Marmaris is something of a mystery. It is not as cosmopolitan as Kusadasi, nor does it have impressive ruins. Perhaps it has something to do with the yachting trade, as Marmaris has a fine marina in its center and is one of Turkey's busiest yacht chartering ports.

Day9
SEP 192025
A:9:00 AMD:5:00 PM

This fortified seaport was already centuries old when St. Paul and St. Barnabas left its harbor on their journey to Antioch. Explore the superb museum in a converted Byzantine church, visit the ancient Roman Theatre, or simply relax amid the pleasant scents of orange groves and pine forests. Those hungry for more history can venture to the ancient towns of Side and Perge.

Day10
SEP 202025
A:8:00 AMD:4:00 PM

Limassol is the major port of the island republic of Cyprus. Atlthough it began as a small market town, Limassol today is a bustling commercial center for fruits, vegetables, wine, and manufactured goods. It is also home to many restaurants and taverns. Visitors should explore the Archaelogical and Folk museums. The annual Wine Festival and Carnival Celebration are also very popular.

Day11
SEP 212025
A:11:00 AMD:8:00 PM

Legend has it that Apollo blessed this isle with sunshine and beauty. True to the myths, the "Island of Roses" is rich in magnificent scenery and umbrella-lined beaches. Take an excursion to Lindos, where high on a hill rises an ancient acropolis dedicated to the goddess Athena. You will also want to see the medieval Old Town, once home to the Crusading Knights of St. John, and tour the Grand Master's Palace, an Italian restoration famed for its superb mosaic floors.

Day12
SEP 222025
A:8:00 AMD:9:00 PM

With its steep volcanic flanks looming straight up from the sea, and the tiny white village of Thira clinging high atop the cliffs, Santorini is perhaps the most breathtaking and legendary of all the Greek Isles. To the south is Akrotiri, where recent Minoan excavations support the theories that Santorini might be the fabled lost continent of Atlantis.

Day13
SEP 232025
Greece

Day14
SEP 242025
At Sea

Day16
SEP 262025
A:10:00 AMD:8:00 PM

La Goulette, or Halq al-Wadi, serves as a gateway to the capital of Tunis, linked by a seven-mile long canal. La Goulette's proximity to both Lake Tunis and the Gulf of Tunis makes it a popular resort. Visit the ruins of forts that date back to the Spanish and Turkish occupation of the island.

Day17
SEP 272025
A:10:00 AMD:7:00 PM

Once regarded as Europe's grandest, most beautiful city, Palermo is still quite impressive. The Four Corners of Palermo, where each 17th-century Spanish Baroque facade is adorned with a statue, is one of the city's most memorable sights. The Fontana Pretoria, often called the Fountain of Shame because of its nude Florentine figures, is also worth noting. Tour the famous Norman Cathedral and Capuchin catacombs.

Day18
SEP 282025
A:8:00 AMD:6:00 PM

One of the most spectacular bays in the world lies in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius. Visit the San Carlo Opera House and the cathedral of San Janarious, or tour the ancient ruins in the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Day19

The surrounding hills and mountains create a natural amphitheatre which is called the 'Garden of Corsica''.

Day22
OCT 22025
A:8:00 AMD:7:00 PM

Cannes has an international reputation for glamour - pictures and movie clips of its croisette, its film stars and its grand hotels instantly conjure up an image of style and sophistication. Cannes is much changed from its beginnings as a resort when an English traveller, Lord Brougham, was quarantined there in 1834. Nowadays, the city hosts conventions and festivals all year round - and there's plenty to attract the guests and delegates.

Day23
OCT 32025
A:8:00 AMD:6:00 PM

Toulon, a commercial and industrial city in southeastern France, lies on the Mediterranean Sea. Toulon's harbor serves as the primary naval base of the French Mediterranean fleet. A:8:00 AMD:4:00 PM

A major seaport and naval base, it has a fine natural harbor, protected by forts. It was founded in 225 B.C. and soon became a flourishing port: the chief Carthaginian base in Spain. In contrast are the inviting, gently sloping beaches of the South side of the island.

Day31
