Explore all that Miami has to offer, from the magnificent Port of Miami, to the world famous Everglades and Biscayne National Parks, historic Coconut Grove, and trendy South Beach. Other attractions include the Miami Seaquarium , Miami MetroZoo, and sports teams the Dolphins, Heat and Marlins. Sitting just off the gorgeous Yucatan coast, Cozumel revels in its mythic white-sand beaches and world-class coral reefs. Yet Cozumel is also the last stronghold of the Mayas, who settled the island in 300 A.D. Residents still speak Maya, and sometimes wear traditional Mayan clothing. Nearby stand the great pyramids and temples of their ancestors.

Blessed with a non-stop breeze, neat little Oranjestad reflects the Dutch passion for cleanliness. Stroll the town's chic shops, venture out to see the wind-formed divi-divi trees, or visit an undersea garden of brilliant corals on a semi-submersible craft.

The friendly inhabitants, first class hotels, wonderful climate, crystal clear seawater, fascinating architecture, floating market, pontoon bridge, secluded bays, rich fauna and flora, and the many possibilities for excursions and entertainment make Curacao the tourist's paradise.

Kralendijk is the chief town of Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles. Tourism is the economic mainstay, though salt mining is also a significant industry. The island is known for its fine beaches, skin diving, and pink flamingos.

Bridgetown is the southernmost port on the island of Barbados and its capital. The beaches are plentiful, as is the seafood. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and diving in the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean or try your hand at a local cricket match.

This picturesque city, wrapped around the perimeter of the island's finest natural harbour, is perhaps the most appealing capital city in the entire Caribbean. Founded in the early 18th century by the French, St. George's still possesses something of the character of a French town, particularly in the red tile roofs and pastel colors of its traditional architecture.

The most notorious of the three Salvation Islands, Devil's Island functioned for generations as a French penal colony. Once known as the "Dry Guillotine" because so many prisoners died there, the island today seems haunted by the spirits of former prisoners. Henri Charriere, better known as "Papillon," claimed to be the only prisoner ever to escape the Island.

Located in the northeast region of Brazil, the coastal city of Fortaleza is a beach-goers dream! Fortaleza is famous for its golden beaches. When you're done with the surf, do some shopping at the local markets. Be sure to try the seafood, especially the lobster, a Fortaleza specialty.

The Brazilian Venice, the port city of Recife is marked by the waterways that connect the various districts of the city. The name "Recife" comes from the barrier reef that protects the city's beautiful beaches. The sun shines brighter in Recife and it shows in the warm waters that surround the port. Called the "Wonderful City" by Brazilians, Rio features the best of all worlds. Great nightlife, beautiful beaches, stunning shorelines, friendly people, plenty of shopping, and many, many restaurants featuring cuisine from all over the world make Rio a thrill for all five senses!

In Montevideo, visitors are often surprised and delighted to discover that the city still retains the disposition and feel of an intimate village. The Old City of Montevideo seems lodged in another time, with customs and architecture from a past era. In the center, the Hotel Plaza Fuerte displays characteristics of the past. Visitors are charmed by its decor and views of the city.

The food of the city is legendary. If you leave Buenos Aires without seeing a tango show, you have missed out. Puerto Madryn is located on the Atlantic coast of Argentina. It is often called the city of whales, as there are an abundance of opportunities to view these magnificent and graceful giants in the waters. There is also an astonishing variety of marine life, making this an attractive destination for divers and snorkelers.

Port Stanley is the only town on the Falkland Islands, and though it has little more than 1,200 residents, it contains half of the islands' population. On the other hand there are 700,000 sheep, and a wonderful assortment of sea birds and elephant seals. Though subject to the British Queen, Argentinean claims to the "Islas Malvinas" caused war in 1982.

The southernmost point of the Americas is a gray rugged rock, enduring in a notoriously weather-beaten spot. With luck, your ship can cruise close this rocky promontory, which has marked the passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean for centuries. The area has a cold and windy climate. The port is named after Hoorn, the birthplace of a legendary Dutch explorer.

Punta Arenas is known as the southernmost city on Earth. It is in Chile, and overlooks the Strait of Magellan. The city's attractions include the Museo Salesiano de Mayonino Borgatello and the Centro Cultural Braun-Menendez. The former is a museum covering the region, and the latter provides a view of a local trading family. Be sure to visit the nearby penguin colony.

Between Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia on the coast of Chile, massive glaciers grind beautiful fjords where the land meets the sea. Watch the soaring Andean condors. Other local fauna include orcas, seals, penguins, and petrels. There is no reason to be spooked by the sight of an albatross, either--they are actually quite a beautiful sight.

The port of Valparaiso is the gateway to the city of Santiago, Chile's beautiful colonial capital, and the seaside resort town of San Antonio. Here you can see the majestic Andes from almost any street corner. Follow the wine trail through nearby Maipo Valley, which produces some of South America's finest wines. Or visit a pre-Colombian museum for a walk through antiquity.

Arica is nestled along Chile's Pacific coast. The city is the gateway to El Morro. To the south are the dunes of the Atacama Desert. Many Bolivians come to Arica, largely for its splendid beaches. Visit the nearby citrus and olive groves. The celebrated Pan-American Highway also makes Arica a hub for transportation and trade.

This sleepy fishing village lends its name to the grape brandy that is produced here. Excursions from Pisco include visits Tambo Colorado, a site of well-preserved Inca ruins; flights over the mysterious, giant geoglyphs drawn in the earth's surface near the town of Nasca; and cruises to the Ballestas Islands, a nature sanctuary where you can observe a wealth of wildlife such as pelicans, cormorants and sea lions.

Manta is the third largest city in Ecuador. The port city boasts some wonderful beaches. The Malecon Escencio is a strip of restaurants and shops right on the water, and attracts many locals and visitors. The local seafood is said to be quite good--and cheap, too. The legendary Panama Hats, locals say, are not actually from Panama, but from Montecristi, a village just 10 minutes away from Manta.

Puntarenas is a paradise of sand beaches, pristine rainforests, and tranquil turquoise seas. Guests will find themselves in a watersport-lover's paradise, with fun-filled options ranging from water skiing to scuba diving readily available throughout the province. Puntarenas boasts mild weather and tropical sunshine, offering languid days to spend relaxing in the surf and sand.

San Juan del Sur is a tranquil fishing village nestled at the head of a horseshoe-shaped bay on the Pacific coast of southern Nicaragua. The lovely bay is peppered with small, private yachts and commercial fishing boats. The inhabitants of San Juan del Sur make their living fishing, diving, and catering to the visitors drawn to the bay's beautiful white-sand beaches, smooth waters, and ecological richness.

Sail past Los Arcos, the soaring rock archway at the extreme southern tip of Baja California that guards Cabo's perfect harbor. This idyllic bay once sheltered treasure ships from the Orient, and pirate brigs bent on those treasures. Now Cabo caters to an international vacation set, and has a strong artistic tradition famous for its black-coral jewelry.

Ensenada is a pleasant combination of a fishing port and tourist center and is a very accomodating city. Visit La Bufadora, a geyser that spouts saltwater more than sixty feet up into the air and is one of biggest blowholes in North America. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the mountain climbing, beachcombing and hiking and Ensenada is a great place from which to begin your trek in the Baja's outback.
