Nestled on the coast of the Madeira Islands, Sao Vicente is a charming village. The town has recovered from great tragedy, having been rebuilt and refurbished after a devastating 1928 landslide. Visitors will be entranced by the town's lush greenery, ruggedly beautiful shores, and the Sao Vicente Chapel. The chapel is rather unusual: It is built entirely within a towering boulder.
