The Millennium Class is a series of four cruise ships operated by Celebrity Cruises, constructed between 1999 and 2002 at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. Included in the Millennium class are the Millennium (2000), Infinity (2001), Summit (2001), and Constellation (2002). Each measures approximately 294 meters in length and has a gross tonnage around 91,000 GT. Notably, this class was among the first cruise ships to utilize a turbo-electric COGAS (Combined Gas and Steam) power plant, enhancing energy efficiency by reclaiming otherwise lost energy. The 2019 Revolution refit of Celebrity Millennium marked one of the most transformative upgrades in the fleet, effectively repositioning the ship for modern premium cruising. All staterooms were fully redesigned with new furniture, updated color palettes, improved lighting, and enhanced bathrooms. New suite class amenities were introduced, elevating the onboard luxury offering. Dining concepts were refreshed to align with Celebrity’s contemporary culinary branding, while entertainment venues were modernized with upgraded seating, lighting, and sound systems. Public spaces throughout the ship received new finishes and furnishings, and extensive technology upgrades improved connectivity and digital guest services. Mechanical and hotel-system enhancements ensured improved efficiency, reliability, and long-term operational performance. Additionally, the ship underwent mechanical restorations in 2023, which were not consumer-facing.
